Pele Ambassador at the World Cup in 2014

President of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, pointing soccer legend Pele becomes honorary ambassador for the 2014 World Cup. Pele will help promote the preparation of Brazil to hold four annual event.

Former 70-year-old striker said, very proud of the designation was powerless to resist. "Since first appearing in the World Cup in 1958, I've done this, to defend and promote Brazil. It is the responsibility of an irresistible," says Pele

a lot of Brazilians are annoyed by the slow roll out the 2014 World Cup preparations. But, he said that people should unite to complete the work than mengiritik the slow construction of the stadium and other infrastructure. "So, this event into something to be proud of Brazilian society," he said.

Minister of Sports, Orlando Silva, said Pele was chosen because of his hard work as an ambassador for the sport in Brazil. "He's someone who understands the world of football. Therefore, he will assist and represent us," he said.
