Germany have arrested an Afghan man who allegedly recruited members of Al Qaeda and raising funds for the network and Uzbek Islamic movement, a federal prosecutor said Thursday.
The suspect, identified only as Omid H. aged 21 years, has been arrested in the city of Kassel in central Germany on Wednesday.
He allegedly tried to recruit new members for both groups in 21 opportunities.
Investigators say he has published nearly 60 manuscripts and video calling for acts of terror in an Islamic intenet page since July last year.
