6.2 magnitude earthquake shake the island of Honshu, Japan


Tokyo: The area off the south coast of Honshu island, Japan, on Monday (1 / 8) night rocked by an earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale. Quake information is submitted to experts seismicity United States (USGS).
The earthquake happened just before midnight at a depth of about 10 km, about 39 miles south of Shizuoka and 165 km south of Tokyo. U.S. earthquake experts say, there was no tsunami warning issued. The USGS earlier said that the earthquake measuring 5.9 magnitude.
The epicenter this time was far from the center of a magnitude 9.0 earthquake and tsunami that occurred last March 11. Japan is located in the meeting of four tectonic plates, hit 20 percent of the strongest earthquake recorded on Earth each year.
