"We detected isotopes, but we would like to ask people not to panic," said TinaCerbolis, a spokesman for the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute, told AFP. "This isa very small amount in the air," he added.

Tuesday, the agency issued a warning that says that the radiation came fromFukushima nuclear power plant in Japan that has leaked from the damaged by theearthquake and tsunami on 11 March. "environmental radiation monitoring was conducted throughout the world, including (in) the Philippines has detected very small amounts of radioactive isotopes that appear to come from the Fukushima nuclear power plant, but does not cause harm to human health," said the warning.
